Prerequisites and selection

  • You like drawing and painting
  • You want to have a creative and versatile career and enjoy working in a team
  • You are interested in film, television and theater and want to learn how a set is created

The training of scenic painting both prepares for an artistic career and a practical profession: in an interview, we want to get to know you and your motivation. You should have a GCSE or high school degree. Exceptions are possible for special talents.

If selected, a four-week work placement will be provided as an introduction to the everyday life at the Studio Schmidbauer, and as a chance to meet the other students and start the first exercises.

The course and exams feature all the contents related to the training in Stage Painting, and it is focused on practical education. We will be happy to integrate your knowledge and interests in the program (comics, graffiti, architecture ...): surprise us!
